Who better to ask for advice, than Michelle Obama herself? After all, she is a former first lady and an inspiration for thousands of Americans today. Recently, Michelle called out Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, when they refused to accept their defeat.
In the previous elections, the Trumps triumphed and that meant the Obamas had to transition.
Fortunately, they took it all in good spirits, or it may seem. However, what really went on behind the scenes, is now going public.
Former first lady reveals it all
Giving the Trumps power wasn’t something Michelle or Barack was keen on at all. However, did they have any choice, clearly not? Michelle explains how it’s respectful to accept defeat and let the new administration take over. After all, she had to do the same.
Mrs. Obama took out time to go down memory lane. Certainly, she reflected on the exact same moment where Donald and Melania stand today. And for her, it was like history repeating itself.
Meanwhile, the former first lady related to Trump’s experience and how hard it was to simply let go. She went on claiming how 4 years ago, she was in a similar position. And she firmly agreed that it’s not easy, neither is defeat the best feeling in the world.

“My husband instructed all the staff members to do what Laura and George Bush did. Hence, we embarked upon a respectful transition of power.” Moreover, she expressed how that was the correct thing to do, being a hallmark for US democracy.

Obama added how she and her husband even invited the entire Trump staff into their offices.
And that’s where their staff members met Trump’s, sharing great insight from their experiences. It was a wonderful gesture of goodwill on their part, giving the Trumps their respectful welcome.
