Here, the McDonald’s employee hears a sudden scream from kids sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle. And before you know it, he comes flying out of the window to make a miraculous saving attempt.
Today, Pedro Viloria is enjoying fame and getting called out for his quick judgments that helped save the life of a cop in Florida. And it’s a video that certainly deserves much praise.

Pedro Viloria was carrying out his regular duties at McDonald’s. It was the breakfast shift and customers came in the usual numbers. But little did Pedro know that he’d go from zero to hero in no time, thanks to his bravery.
Viral footage showed how the McDonald’s employee jumps out through a drive-through window in seconds. And that was right after he spotted a female police officer who wasn’t responding. She lay unconscious in her vehicle, alongside her children who sat in the passenger seat.
Viloria explains how he became so worried while serving the officer, who was off-duty. During the time of order placement, the cop was fine. However, when it was time to receive the order, she passed out for unknown reasons.
Quick to notice and as observant as can be, Pedro jumps through the window.
The off-duty cop struggles to breathe
After gaining entry into the vehicle, Pedro realized how the situation was pretty bad. The officer struggled to breathe, gasping tirelessly for air. Moreover, as the officer attempted to pull her SUV away, it crashed into a large barrier outside the restaurant in Doral.
On that note, another McDonald’s employee also entered the picture. They both attempted to give the woman CPR, being quick to spring into action. Meanwhile, Viloria mentioned the nerve-racking moments that entailed the incident.
“At the point in time, there was only one thing on my mind. I thought I would rather save this woman’s life. Moreover, I saw how she started inflating her neck, finding it hard to breathe. She kept on adding, ‘ahh,’ towards the end. And I knew that something was awfully wrong with her.”
Anxious moments of despair explained
Veloria jumped through the drive-thru window without thinking twice and it’s an act that the restaurant continually praises him for.
Certainly, it wasn’t an easy decision but Veloria knew that nothing was more important than saving the cop’s life. In addition, the fact that her young kids screamed in despair, sitting in the back, added more drama to the episode.
The kids kept on yelling, ‘Mother, stop it. What are you doing?” as they couldn’t comprehend what was going on. Little did they know that their mom couldn’t breathe and required emergency assistance.
Luckily, there was also a paramedic on hand, when Veloria frantically searched for help at the restaurant. In addition, an off duty fireman also assisted.
McDonald’s family praise a brave employee
The mega fast-food chain released a wonderful statement where they called out one of their loyal employees for thinking on his feet.
“He is an excellent worker and we’re so proud to have him,” they added. “It didn’t surprise us when he sprung into action so quickly through a window to help save this woman,” the statement mentioned.
Certainly, Pedro deserves all the credit in the world for saving the female officer’s life. Moreover, he made sure she got the medical care she needed at that moment in time.
