Javier Da Silva Rojas killed his ex-girlfriend Valerie Reyes by stuffing her in a small red suitcase and left her to die by the side of a deserted road in Greenwich, Connecticut.
24-year-old Valerie Reyes used to work at a bookstore in NYC and loved to read books in coffee shops. She wanted to be a tattoo artist in the future and was working with a friend to pursue her dream. She was a kind-hearted girl and used to put others first even when she was suffering from depression.
In January 2018, Javier Da Silva Rojas and Valerie Reyes got in touch online. Javier Da Silva Rojas lived in Queens and was an immigrant with joint Venezuelan and Portuguese citizenship. His visa was expired, and he was living illegally in the country and was working in an unknown restaurant.
The relationship between Javier Da Silva Rojas and Valerie Reyes ended after 3 months of relationship. Javier Da Silva Rojas was unwilling to end it even after Valerie Reyes stopped all communication and called it a quit.
On January 30, 2019, Valerie got missing. She didn’t show up at work or meet anyone. Her mother claims that she proclaimed something about being followed many days ago and was worried that somebody would kill her. Valerie didn’t tell her mother anything when she tried to investigate more about it. She planned to meet her mother for a shopping trip but didn’t show up.

Somebody has been stealing money from her account as well. Her ex-boyfriend was suspected, and when the police caught him, he accepted he met her and told everything about stuffing her in a suitcase.
