A former prosecutor has claimed that the young black teen who was shot by an Ohio-based cop earlier this week was not the original aggressor because she was the one who made the 911 call.
Ma’Khia Bryant was fatally killed by the Ohio police after cops had been informed about a 911 call disturbance call. Therefore, it is being reported how Ma’Khia was the one who made the phone call in the first place because she felt endangered.
However, upon arrival, cops witnessed a group of young girls standing.
When questioned about what the matter was all about, Ma’Khia was observed to display violent behavior with reports of an attempted stabbing. Moreover, when the officer ordered her to get on the ground, she failed to comply with his orders.
On that note, she was fatally shot four times, leading to her tragic death within seconds.Bodycam footage of the incident revealed how the black teen did possess a sharp weapon that lay right next to her body. The cop was identified as an officer who was military trained with experience of serving in the National Guard troops too.
Today, the case is thoroughly surrounded by ongoing controversy regarding the teen’s death who many feels could have been avoided in the first place.
In addition, a former prosecutor mentioned how it was Ma’Khia who had made the disturbance call, where she mentioned to 911 sources how there were people fighting.
There were also claims of one woman who allegedly tried to stab the caller, alongside a number of others. This first call was closely followed by a second call, in which some person had requested the police officers for assistance, but the person quickly hung up as police had already made it to the scene. Ma’Khia’s family insists that it was Ma’Khia who made one of the calls.
If that is actually the truth, a former prosecutor believes that it could change the dynamics of the case completely. While the identity of the calls still remains a mystery, many are calling for justice for the young black woman.
