David Perry, a taxi driver, managed to get out of his car all safe and sound after a passenger, Emad Al Swealmeen, set his car on fire near Liverpool’s Women’s Hospital.
This horrible incident occurred on Sunday morning when David was driving his taxi, and a passenger named Emad Al Swealmeen sat in his car with an explosive device. The passenger had a plan to explode the device in the hospital, but somehow his device didn’t work correctly, and the explosion happened earlier than expected.
A senior former intelligence source has revealed that if the bomber had succeeded in placing the device inside the hospital, it would be worse than what it is now.
Nick Aldworth, a former counter-terrorism national coordinator, proclaimed that the blast was smaller than expected. Although the bomber died on the spot, no other deaths have been reported yet.
The deceased man converted to Christianity from Islam on March 17, in Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral. He stayed with some devoted Christians, including Malcolm and Elizabeth Hitchcott in Aigburth.
The 32-year-old bomber was staying at 2 different places, including Sutcliffe Street and Rutland Avenue.
The police are searching these areas as well. The investigation department has disclosed the bomber’s name to get more information about him and his whereabouts. They have called this a ‘terrorist attack,’ but the actual motive of the deceased person is still unclear.
The rate of terror attacks is increasing day by day in the United Kingdom. According to Elizabeth Hitchcott, Emad Al Swealmeen was a lovely guy, and she was shocked to hear about the explosion.
This incident could have been worse if the device had exploded in the hospital instead of the car. The driver was a lucky guy who succeeded in fleeing the vehicle.
