A Las Vegas landlord recently shot and killed two of his tenants while critically injuring another over an argument relating to unpaid rent.
According to media reports, the landlord from Las Vegas is accused of shooting two female tenants dead while one man was left in a seriously wounded state. The individuals carried out a dispute that was related to unpaid rent, and that’s when the landlord put his foot on the ground claiming he’d like to ‘handle things his way.”
78-year-old Arnoldo Lozano Sanchez shot his three victims down inside his residence during the early hours of Wednesday. Police sources claim that a major argument had broken out between the two parties over the topic of rent.
It is believed that the landlord was also living at the home but after carrying out the gruesome crime, he walked away laughing and smiling with zero guilt. The victims were reportedly shot inside their rooms, as mentioned in a recent arrest affidavit that was released by the Review-Journal from Las Vegas.
While it is still not clear yet as to how much rent the tenants had actually owed him.point 192 | But police are now coming out with claims that a witness confirmed how Sanchez was really upset and filled with rage relating to the topic of unpaid rent.point 319 |
The witness also claimed that he appeared to be filled with that rage, just days before the mega shooting spree.point 93 | 1
Moreover, the witness claims that when he informed Sanchez to try and evict the tenants directly via the court system, Sanchez boldly informed him that he would be better off by handling things in his own manner.
On the other hand, another tenant that was present inside the home during the time of the killing explained to cops how he heard the screaming sounds of two females, which was soon followed by multiple gunshots.point 290 |
Then the tenant claimed he heard Sanchez mention in a threatening tone how ‘he just would not be able to run away from him.point 106 | ”point 113 | 1
After the incident, police arrived and found one female victim dead on the ground in the driveway. Soon, another woman’s body was retrieved by officers from inside the home. Investigators also retrieved a gun from under a bush, right outside the house.
Sanches is now being denied bail as he remains in police custody with charges relating to attempted murder.
