Former star footballer of Virginia Tech, Kiersten Hening, is coming out with shocking allegations on how she was forcibly kicked off the soccer team by her coach after she refused to kneel down.
The player claims her coach reportedly forced her to leave the team as she didn’t see the point of kneeling down during a particular pregame demonstration that took place last September.
The 21-year-old player is renowned for playing as a midfielder and defender for the famous Hokies team from the year 2018 to 2020. But things suddenly came to an abrupt end when was forced off of the team and reportedly benched by her coach, claim media reports.
Hening claims that her ex-coach was certainly not a huge fan of her political views. For this reason, he felt it was best that she remained off of the team, as reported by TMZ.
TMZ Sports also went on to claim how Hening mentioned during the high point of the Black Lives Matter Movement how she often got into arguments and disagreed with other members of her team regarding various topics on social justice.
Now, the player is suing her coach in a mega lawsuit because she believes in the act of social justice and also sees nothing wrong with the Black Lives Matter movement too.
However, she in particular does not support the BLM as an organization.
In addition, Hening spoke about how the tactics used by the BLM as well as their core tenents is something that she isn’t fond of in particular.With particular reference to the movement’s core mission of defunding the police, Hening just doesn’t see eye to eye on the matter.
In September of 2020, all of Hening’s teammates kneeled down before the start of their game against Virginia. However, she chose to remain to stand and for this, she was verbally attacked by her coach during the halftime of the game.
