President Biden was caught on camera lashing out at a reporter and calling him a “son of a bi***” during his Competition Council.
On January 24, Biden summoned top administration figures – including the Treasury Secretary – to his Competition Council in the White House’s East Room to discuss the topic of inflation and publicize his efforts in tackling the supply-chain challenges.
Biden also opened up about his talks with the European leaders and the ongoing Ukraine crisis but not before slamming the reporters in the room.
“The only reason I don’t like doing this is you never report on why I’ve called the meeting. This is really important. I had a very, very, very good meeting. Total unanimity with all the European leaders. We’ll talk about it later,” he said.
After he was done sharing his remarks on the matter, the 46th US President was flooded with questions about the tensions between the US and Russia and about the potential deployment of troops to the East.
Chipping in was also Peter Doocy of Fox News who asked the president if he thought that inflation is a “political liability” after Biden refused to take questions about the Ukraine crisis.
“Will you take questions on inflation then? Do you think inflation is a political liability ahead of the midterms?” Doocy asked.
Responding, President Biden mockingly said: “That’s a great asset. More inflation. What a stupid son of a b**ch.”
Recalling the harsh response after the meeting was Doocy who appeared on Fox News’ ‘The Five’ to explain what had happened in the room.
“So I shouted… ‘Okay, what about inflation? Do you think inflation is a political liability in the midterms?’” Doocy said.
“I couldn’t even hear him because people were shouting at us to get out. But somebody came up to me in the briefing room a few minutes later and said, ‘Did you hear what the president said?’ And I said, ‘No, what?’ They said, ‘He called you stupid SOB.’”
Responding, Fox News host Jesse Waters said: “So Doocy, I think the president’s right, you are a stupid SOB.”
“Yeah, nobody has fact-checked him yet and said it’s not true,” Doocy jokingly replied.
