One of the famous actors from Australia’s leading and longest-running soaps ‘Home and Away’ was reportedly found dead after a suspected police welfare check.
45-year-old Dieter Brummer passed away due to a suspected suicide. The star was renowned for playing the heartthrob role of Shane Parrish in the famous drama ‘Home and Away,’ during the years 1992 to 1996. Moreover, the celebrated actor’s other renowned performances included Neighbors, Underbelly, as well as Medivac.
While his death is not being treated as a suspicious case at the moment, the news certainly shocked plenty of fans and followers who just couldn’t come to terms with the information being released.
The star who hails from Australia is also a two-time winner of the Logie Awards. Local media outlets confirmed how he was discovered dead at his residence in Glenhaven. This district is located on the north-western side of Sydney. Police from NSW recently confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that they were on their routine welfare checks on a Saturday afternoon.
At the moment, his death is being looked upon as a suicide, they confirmed. The public statement released by the police included the following information:
“The body of a 45-year-old man was reportedly found inside the residence. We do not believe his death is suspicious. Soon, a report will be created and released for information being directed to the Coroner,” the statement went on to mention.
Right after the tragic news of Brummer’s passing away was released, his parents went public with a heartbreaking and emotional post confirming the news. They wrote, ‘our world will never be the same again.’
“On behalf of the entire family, we sadly post this today with a very heavy heart,” the Facebook post mentioned.
“We have indeed lost our handsome, funny, beloved, talented, and complicated Dieter this Saturday morning.
