An 18-year-old girl has been diagnosed for having one of the world’s most painful skin conditions that have even left doctors perplexed.
Medics couldn’t help but speak about Nancy Morel in detail and how her painful illness is one that causes her skin to bruise from within and in the end, it can really affect patients’ quality of life.
But after taking a look at this young woman and the way she carries on with life on a day-to-day basis, you’ll be amazed at how much tolerance for the pain she has.
Nancy reportedly developed the illness when she was just 13. It looked like a little harmless pimple on her lip but that really wasn’t it.
In the past five years, the 18-year-old says she and her parents have visited doctors and countless hospitals on a routine basis. But the whole ordeal has been in vain.
While she denies having any health condition in the past, this one really has left doctors confused.
Nancy who hails from Buckinghamshire says at first, it appeared like an allergic reaction but then, things got really difficult as the pain was just too much for her to bear.
The pimple started to swell up to a new and alarming size that many refer to as a bruise too. And before she knew it, the pimple began spreading all around her body.
While this teen has an incurable skin condition, her twin sister doesn’t suffer from anything of the sort. In fact, her skin is blemish-free and very healthy, Nancy revealed.
From her lips to her face, and then to her legs and her hands, the condition is everywhere and feels extremely painful to touch. But this is the reality that this young woman must live with.
But her bravery to go on each day with the hope that one day, she’ll be treated is definitely admirable.
