The thought of biological men and pregnancy are two concepts that just don’t go hand in hand but after today’s revolutionary announcement in the world of medicine, things could be changing.
According to local media reports, one Indian surgeon could transform medical science forever after planning a breakthrough surgery where he would transplant an entire womb inside a trans woman.
The surgery is being called out for its uniqueness and one that just might pave the way for men to become pregnant, the surgeon explained.
Moreover, Dr. Narendra Kaushik revealed his excitement about the operation and how gender reassignments were a norm in his clinic.
Situated in New Delhi, the concept of men and pregnancy is not common but this medical expert hopes to change things forever.
As of now, there is only one single case relating to the womb being transferred into a biological man. But it was fatal and the thought of impregnating a trans woman with a brand new womb was never done in the past.
“Making a man pregnant is just not something we see too often but I hope my surgery will change things forever”- the surgeon mentioned with great excitement.
But with does come plenty of surgical risks associated with the procedure as revealed by medical experts who claim firstly, reproductive organs would need to be sought from a dead patient or any dead donor, before they can proceed.
Moreover, the patient would need to be transitioned in the other way around, where they may have had their organs removed.
The fact that trans women don’t have a vagina that functions normally means making use of both IVF and a C-section.
Clearly, it’s risky but at the same time very interesting for many in the medical world who look forward to seeing the end results and how successful the surgery actually ends up being.
