A 3-year-old girl has tragically passed away after his mother and her boyfriend left him locked inside a scorching vehicle.
Young Rylee Rose Black was reportedly locked inside her mother’s vehicle for nearly 5 hours, during which her mum and boyfriend were busy indulging in a Netflix binge-watching marathon. When the mum returned back to her car, after nearly 5 hours, she found that she had forgotten the child inside. But it was just too late as the couple realized that she had lost all of her consciousness.
The incident took place in Queensland, Australia, leaving so many loved ones shocked beyond belief.
Ever since then, police officers have begun a series of investigations into figuring out how and why the incident actually took place. According to local media outlets, police revealed how the young child had gone with the couple on a morning drive to drop off her older sister at school.
When they returned at around 9 am to their residence in Townsville, the couple quickly got off after parking their jeep in the home’s driveway. And that is when things went horribly wrong as the couple headed inside without little Rylee.
It is also reported how the couple got into a little argument on the way back from school, during which the young toddler had dozed off in the car’s back seat.point 256 |
Now, it is still unclear from the initial reports whether the mum intended to get back to retrieve the child after unloading her car or whether she simply forgot that her child was in the backseat.point 162 | 1
Young Rylee lay helpless inside the locked car for about 5 hours as temperatures shot to great extremes during the afternoon hours. And by the time the couple rushed back to retrieve her, it was almost 3 pm.
The young girl was unconscious, lying helplessly, and slumped over her seat, as her mum rushed to remove her out of the vehicle.
Police arrested both the mum and her boyfriend, slapping them with charges of manslaughter.
