Isabella Kalua of Hawaii has officially been missing since September 13 when her adoptive parents, Lehua and Isaac Kalua, had reported her disappearance to the police and insisted she “wandered off” at the night.

Following weeks of investigation and searches for the young girl, fresh evidence indicated that the child’s adoptive parents might be responsible for her disappearance.

On Friday, after Isaac and Lehua were arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder, another shocking twist took place as gruesome details about the way Isabella was treated by her parents have been exposed in court-filed documents.

According to the reports, the 6-year-old’s older sister, a 12-year-old girl, told the detectives everything about the abuse her sibling had allegedly undergone at the hands of her parents during a November 5 interview.

As the sister insisted, her parents would lock Isabella in a dog cage and put “duct tape on her mouth and nose” until one morning “she didn’t wake up.”

She added that her adoptive parents bought the cage even though they didn’t own a dog because they wanted to stop her sister from eating snacks at night.

In the shocking recollection, the 12-year-old went on to reveal that she’s convinced her sister is dead because their adoptive parents made sure of it.

“Lehua then filled the bathtub with water and put (Isabella) in it to see if she would wake up, but it did not work,” the sister said according to the filed documents.

As the 12-year-old added, she was then forced to help her parents move the body. Days later, her adoptive father allegedly took time off work in order “to get rid of the stuff … evidence.”

As of Monday, Isabella’s body has not yet been found, whereas her adoptive parents are facing second-degree murder charges.

“Everyone’s very disgusted and hurt. And this has definitely given me more of a boost to fight for the [sisters] to bring them home safely, where they belong with us as biological family members,” the kids’ aunt, Alena Kaeo, expressed.
