Without a doubt, the 43-year-old weightlifter who hails from New Zealand made history by being the first-ever trans athlete to be considered for such a prestigious event. Hubbard appeared to be anxious after appearing slightly overbalanced with her moves during the 120kg category, which took place on Monday evening. Right after taking the bar upon her shoulders, it was evident that things were off to a rough start.

During the athlete’s second attempt of the 125kg category, judges ruled the move as invalid.

Next, it was time for the trans olympian’s third and final straw and as you can probably imagine, the pressure to perform was definitely on. However, even on that attempt, the 43-year-old failed to achieve anything, as it was more or less a repeat stunt of her first try.
