Rapper Fetty Wap broke down in tears as he thanked fans for support after his daughter Lauren Maxwell, 4, passed away.
The 30-year-old thanked people for their messages of support following the tragic death of his daughter. He also asked his fans to flood social media with ‘butterflies’ as his little girl loved them.
The cause of death hasn’t been revealed.
Fetty, whose real name Willie Junior Maxwell II, also shared a photo of his daughter, who he shares with Turquoise Miami.
“Hey mini me (My Twin)…. I love you to the moon and back forever and ever bestfriend,” he wrote.
In a video he posted on Instagram, he said: “Man. Man. Thank y’all, yeah? That’s love. I appreciate ya’ll, for real. Damn. That’s love. She’d be happy as hell.”
Fetty was also seen holding a photo of little Lauren whom he called his ‘mini me.’
“Thank y’all, yeah? I appreciate y’all. Look at my little twin right there. Will y’all do me a favor, though? For real. Y’all can do me a favor? Just post all butterflies. All butterflies. Shorty loved butterflies. Look at my little baby. Look at my little twin right there. I love you,” he continued.
Lauren’s mother, Turquoise, announced the heartbreaking news on her Instagram account but she did not reveal how or when the young girl died.
In addition to a short video of Lauren swimming in a pool, Turquois also wrote: “This is my amazing ,beautiful , funny , vibrant, loving ,talented, smart and hardheaded princess mermaid Aquarius.”
“If you see this post scrolling by with her comment or just say to yourself ‘i love you LAUREN’ because they say that souls can feel your love #rip,” she added.
