Barsik is 5-years old who came to a shelter home in NY and it weighs around a whopping 20kg.
Barsik with his average-looking mate Sukie has surprised everyone at the animal care center because no one had seen such a huge cat.
How did the fattest cat in the world meet the shelter home?
So Basik, fattest cat in the world 2020, has an Instagram page with a huge number of followers that like to receive updates on it. According to the page, Basik and Sukie’s family moved to a new place without them so they became homeless.
As per the caregivers in the shelter home, Basik is way too big to handle. There was another cat Toby who was just 5-pounds away from making the world record as an obese cat. Since the shelter did not have the right types of equipment to take care of such an obese cat, it had to make changes. These alterations cost the center a lot.
According to the ACC, Basik is also enormous for their shelter home and they do not have the right resources. Basik, the fattest cat in the world, was staying in the office because of his size. He needs a home that can take care of him well and help him shed some pounds.

What happened to this fattest cat in the world 2020?
This biggest cat in the world was heard and Basik and Sukie did not have to wait anymore. Because Anjellicle Cats Rescue decided to take them and move them to a foster home but it was a challenge. Moving a 41 pound, the biggest cat in the world, to foster care was no less than fatigue.
What does Angelique Luzzolino, Basik’s foster mother, says about the cat?
Since Basik’s Instagram keeps fans updated on all the new scenes, it also posted about the moving scenario. According to Basik’s foster mother, the Anjellicle Cats Rescue helped her a lot in finding the appropriate carrier to move him in.
They assisted in not only finding the right carrier but also moved the cat into the building. However, the foster mother had to take it from there and bring the fattest cat in the world to his new home.
Though he could not hide himself owing to his huge size, Basik was trying to hide in the new house. He was afraid, embarrassed of his size maybe and a little shy. However, soon he came over it as he could not squeeze himself between the furniture.
Is Basik’s large body a hindrance in his activity?
Just like any obese person, Basik also finds it difficult to move around like an average household cat. His mother says although he cannot move fastly, he is a loving and caring cat.
He wants to jump around like Sukie but he can’t jump and that desperate him. At times, he wants to join her in the bed on his own but he can’t make it owing to his size. Moreover, he does not want his foster mother to pick him up because he wants to try himself.
Luzzonio says it is heartbreaking to see him change himself and acquaint himself with life. He can’t reach his back legs and rear part of the body. She brushes his hair to soothe him and is going to try dry shampoo to make him comfortable.
The fattest cat in the world 2020 is going to see a vet soon enough until then he is on plenty of food. We are not sure of what his vet is going to say about his diet plan yet. Before that, Luzzonio cannot make changes on her own without an expert opinion.
