The fathers of Marines who tragically died in the bomb attack in Kabul are blaming President Joe Biden for their deaths.
170 Afghans and 13 US troops were killed when a suicide bomber detonated his vest on Thursday.
Among them were Marines Rylee McCollum, Taylor Hoover, Hunter Lopez, Daegan Page, David Lee Espinoza, Ryan Knauss, Kareem Nikoui, Navy medic Max Soviak, and an unnamed soldier.
Nikoui’s grieving father Steve told The Daily Beast: “They sent my son over there as a paper pusher and then had the Taliban outside providing security.
I blame my own military leaders… Biden turned his back on him.
That’s it. ”Schmitz’s father also said: “Be afraid of our leadership or lack thereof. Pray every day for the soldiers that are putting their lives at risk, doing what they love which is protecting all of us.”
When asked about Biden’s vow to hunt down the terrorists responsible for the attack, White House Jen Psaki said that the president “does not want them to live on the earth anymore.
”
Soviak’s heartbroken sister also took to Instagram and wrote: “He was a f****** medic. There to help people and now he is gone and my family will never be the same.”
Hoover’s father, Darin Hoover, said his son was a hero.
“I love you son!!! You’re my hero!! Please check in on us once in a while.I’ll try to make you proud!!”
Barnett’s aunt said he was a “joy to be around. Always a smile. Always respectful. A joy to be around. He is adored beyond measure.”
Rylee’s sister, Cheyenne McCollum, told Daily Mail that her brother had wanted to be a Marine since he was young.
“Rylee was sent to Afghanistan when the evac began. Rylee was manning the check point when the suicide bomb went off. Rylee wanted to be a history teacher and a wresting coach when he finished serving his country.
“He’s a tough, kind, loving kid who made an impact on everyone he met. His joke and wit brought so much joy. To his friends and teammates and coaches, he was family.”
