A father was left heartbroken after his ex-wife murdered their twin babies by drowning them.
Steven Ford is a loving dad whose 23-month-old twins Chloe and Jake meant everything to him. On December 27, 2018, the family was broken after the twins’ mother and Steven’s ex-wife drowned their children at her home in the UK.
Following the unforgiving act, Samantha Ford left behind a note that read: “Please forgive my crazy mind.” She then attempted to take her own life by ramming into the back of a truck with her car at the speed of 100 mph while not wearing a seatbelt.
Despite the odds, the twins’ mother, who was married to Mr Ford for ten years until their divorce in August, 2018, survived the crash and recovered physically.
Though she later denied murder charges, she pleaded guilty to two counts of manslaughter as part of her plea deal.
In 2019, the 38-year-old woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison. She reportedly began doing the time in a psychiatric hospital.
Following the tragic death of his children, Steven said Jake and Chloe were his “everything” as he recalled the last time he had seen them before his ex-wife took them from him forever.
Though all hope seemed lost at the time, Mr. Ford has now found a new reason to live as he welcomed baby son Rupert together with his new partner, Cristi.
“My 3rd baby, my 2nd son, my only child. You’ve given me purpose in life once more, I’ll help you do great things with yours. I love you son,” the father wrote in a tribute to his son.
As the dad insists, Rupert will get to know everything about his siblings when he is older.
