Increased production of acorn in England
In the UK, it was pleasantly and oddly warmer in December compared to last year. It was recorded as the wettest month resulting in increased production of the acorn; the all-time favorite food of squirrels.
Iolo Williams is a naturalist who says “It’s been very warm this winter. Squirrels are omnivores so they just eat anything and everything. So I can guess these non-native squirrels, the grey ones will do much better this and the next year.”
