The holiday season is upon us all and as many families gather to spend Christmas time together, one mother is sharing her recent tragic life incident that left many in tears.
Catherine Di Blasio has recalled the terrifying moment when police knocked at her door to give her the most heartbreaking news imaginable for any parents.
The mother explained how she was busy wrapping gifts for your 9 and 10-year-old children when all of a sudden, her dreams and hopes of celebrating the holidays with loved ones were shattered.
Cops were quick when it came down to inform the mother about how her children were killed in a tragic plane crash incident that took place near Brisbane, Australia.
The mother was super excited and anticipated making sure all the little details were ready for the celebrations but that unfortunately couldn’t occur after this terrible tragedy.
Catherine lost her 10-year-old daughter named Lavinia and her 9-year-old son named Lucas in the accident that occurred last Sunday.
The children were traveling with their 41-year-old father named Cris Mocanu, along with a 67-year-old pilot on board. But little did those on board know that their flight was destined for doom.
The plane reportedly crashed right after takeoff from Redcliffe, which is located near the Australian city of Brisbane, as recently reported by Mail Online. Moreover, some reports have stated a technical fault in the engine to be the cause of the crash as investigations into the tragedy continue.
The mother had taken her children to meet their father that morning but she was unaware that the kids would be taking a ‘light plane ride’ with their dad.
Reports claim that the plane ride was a post-birthday surprise for the couple’s son Lucas.
“When the authorities came to my house, I was wrapping their gifts for Christmas. The last thing I remember telling my children is to have fun with your dad but little did I know that I would never be seeing them again,” the mother cried.
