A couple has reportedly slammed their babysitter, firing her immediately after catching her physically abusing their screaming toddler.
According to local media reports, a family was in absolute shock after they realized how their baby was subject to abuse of the worst kind.
The young couple has gone on to confirm how their own home’s security cameras caught the babysitter red-handed.
The parents found it unbelievable to see how a woman that they had hired for their child’s care had reportedly gone on to abuse and force food down throats, disguising it all as nurturing care.
“We could see her on the camera, the behavior was outrageous. She not only held the toddler down in an aggressive manner, but you could also see how the innocent child began running away from her, screaming in absolute fear and dread because of her presence,” the couple explained.
Police in New Bern have identified the accused as a 25-year-old nanny named Lauren Rowe, adding how she was arrested on Thursday for the shocking act involving the abuse of a toddler. Now, she is reportedly facing charges for her behavior, they explained.
Both Max and Laura, the toddler’s parents, spoke about how angry they are, and beyond confused and heartbroken. They feel as if they’ve lost their trust in babysitters and are scared to hire another, after seeing what their young child had to endure in their absence.
“We want to make sure that no one’s child ever has to go through something like this,” the mother explained. And that is why they’ve ordered authorities to take action immediately to prevent such acts from occurring in the first place.
“Honestly, we feel like it was not real or we were in shock. She even covered the child’s mouth and nose with her hand. We knew immediately that we had to get her as far away as possible from them all,” the couple explained in fury.
