Horrifying reports have revealed how a young child was snatched and stabbed to death in front of his own mother.
According to witnesses who happened to be present at the crime scene, the mother could be seen running and screaming in a state of distress and despair as she tried to get help from the police.
“Police, police!” My child, my child!”- these were the mother’s initial words after she tragically discovered the reality of the situation in front of her.
Less than one hour later, cops arrived at the scene where they stumbled upon the dead child’s body.
Store managers quickly rang in 999 right before the shop’s closing so that officers could retrieve the CCTV footage of the horrifying incident as investigations continue.
The young boy passed away from his critical injuries after he was snatched and stabbed near a Co-op.
At the moment, cops are busy quizzing one suspect who happens to be a 49-year-old woman, in regards to suspicion regarding the child’s murder. She is known to have some sort of link with the victim but police are yet to disclose the details.
The horrifying incident took place yesterday evening in Coventry in West Mids. Police have currently placed a cordon this morning, right after the horrifying ordeal took place.
One shopper who happened to witness the entire tragedy has revealed how the mother was in shock as she helplessly ran for help. “She came in screaming for assistance at about 5:20 pm. She was in search of the cops and then she left so fast,” the woman added.
Another witness described how the boy was stabbed and that’s all she can remember. “I just couldn’t comprehend what was going on. The mother started to yell kidnap, kidnap. It was so horrific,” the witness recalled.
With so many bizarre details and witness accounts going around, the police are waiting for the child’s post-mortem results to confirm his cause of death as they continue with the investigation of the tragedy involving the 5-year-old boy.
