A mother was pictured kissing her loving daughter a final goodbye as she lay in a hospital bed, moments before her death.
23-year-old Damilola Grace Olaknmi fell extremely sick when she consumed sweets that looked fine but were actually filled with cannabis.
The student reportedly bought the box of gummies and also had them delivered to her residence on the very same day.
Sources revealed how the young woman had reportedly ordered a box of the sweets online but did she know that they would end up killing her.
The gummies were laced with psychoactive substances, confirmed local media outlets.
While the victim’s friend also had the sweets, she became gravely ill too but managed to make it out alive after her stay at the hospital.
Unfortunately, that just was not the same fate for 23-year-old Damilola who despite having the same number of gummies, died in the end.
The victim was her mother’s only child and support. Hence, her tragic loss is beyond describable as loved ones claim she’s heartbroken and devastated because this was not something that was her fault.
She unknowingly consumed the gummies that were bought and delivered to her home the same day.
At the moment, the suspect is in police custody and has been charged for the possession as well as the intent to supply Class B synthetic cannabinoids.

The victim has medical tubes across her face as her condition had gone from bad to worse in seconds.
Sources added how the victim’s condition was so bad after the consumption of the candies that she had to be airlifted immediately.
Yesterday, one justice campaigner raised her voice on the issue, adding how young adults need to stay away from drugs.
