A mother’s body was reportedly left in a mortuary freezer as hospital staff ‘forgot about her’ for nearly six weeks.
According to recent reports, the police ordered several toxicology tests that went on to find how a mother by the name of Charlene McGregor passed away from a methadone overdose.
However, the family is yet to believe those claims as they are genuinely baffled and beyond devastated as to what really went on and how a small procedure resulted in the worst possible outcome for a loved one- which is death.
Charlene had gone to the hospital to treat a cyst that was present behind her ear. She was then advised to be placed on antibiotics by doctors as they planned to conduct the surgery after that.
But how things went from bad to worst still remains a mystery for loved ones as the hospital staff never offered to give them any explanation.
Soon, her body was transferred to a morgue for a very long time that experts called her post-mortem examination into the unexpected death to be inconclusive.
Charlene never underwent the surgery that was planned for her as she died of unknown circumstances in her hospital bed on March 12th.
The hospital staff was quick to tell her loved ones that they needed to do a post mortem to figure out the cause of her death and how it might take a little longer than usual due to the Covid pandemic.
The deceased mother’s son revealed how his mom was a methadone user and didn’t have the best life but this was not something they expected from hospital staff who were supposed to be responsible for her care.
Just one day before she died, the mother of four asked nurses to give her something that would assist her in sleeping but little did she know that it would cost her life, in the end.
