A mother has reportedly stabbed her daughter to death and has given the most bizarre and jaw-dropping justification for doing so.
According to local media reports, 22-year-old Justine Johnson felt zero guilt or remorse for her crime when she killed her own toddler based upon claims made by a cartoon character called SpongeBob SquarePants.
The mother explained how the character instructed her to carry out the evil deed or face severe consequences which could result in her own death.
Now, the young mother is awaiting her trial in regards to charges relating to felony murder as well as child abuse.
Little Sutton Mosser was only three years old when her mother brutally stabbed her to death and then opted to stuff her body inside a black bag. Moreover, new reports also suggested how the mother had also been having heroin withdrawal hallucinations as well as lack of sleep.
For this reason, she stands by her claims of how an animated character forced her to do the most unthinkable.
On Friday, the tragic case’s preliminary hearing was held where one child protective investigator spoke about how the mother left her Michigan residence on the day that the toddler was murdered. She had been living there with her mom for years.
But soon, she passed out at a nearby graveyard, right before going back home, and tried to kill herself. When that didn’t work, she killed her toddler.
“She never revealed the specifics about what really went on and how the child died. She just said that she had experienced so many hallucinations from her heroin withdrawal and had not slept for two whole weeks,” the protective officer added.
The mother kept reiterating how if her daughter was not murdered, she was afraid she would die and for that reason, had lost her mind due to the mental disturbance going on.
