A father and his two beautiful children have tragically passed away after a mega-fire tore through their Pennsylvania residence on Christmas morning.
According to local media reports, the wife and oldest child managed to barely escape the mega tragedy that killed three other members of the same family.
Authorities revealed how the blaze erupted at the residence belonging to the King family at around 1:22 am in the night on Saturday in Quakertown, killing Eric King and his two sons Patrick and Liam.
Eric’s wife Kristin and the couple’s oldest child Brady managed to escape the horrifying blaze as the rest of the family were trapped inside the family’s home. Both survivors were reportedly treated at a nearby local hospital for smoke inhalation.
Investigators also spoke about how the family’s two beloved dogs also passed away as a result of the blaze.
The massive flames managed to engulf the entire house by the time firefighters arrived, with reports stating how the fire could not be brought under control until 2:34 am.
Authorities claim that the fire began in the place near the Christmas tree which was surrounded by plenty of lighting but more details are yet to be revealed as an investigation into the tragedy continues.
“This news is absolutely heartbreaking for the entire district community, in particularly the Quakertown area,” mentioned a statement released by the local school district after the tragedy.
“Both Eric and Kristin are very active members of the community, and kind individuals who make this all a special place to live as well as attend school,” it added.
The school district letter also sent out its heartfelt condolences to the entire King family and all of their loved ones on this unbelievably tragic incident.
