A mother has been struck with grief after her husband and 10-year-old son died after drowning on a beach.
36-year-old Sara explained how she watched in absolute horror and helplessness as her loving family members drowned, right after being engulfed by a mega freak wave.
The duo happened to be fishing on the beach and enjoying some quality time with each other when the untimely tragedy tore the entire family apart, she revealed.
Local media reports stated how the incident took place at a beach in Sydney, Australia.
Now, the mother claims that she no longer has any desire or will to carry on with her life after their deaths.
“I looked away for one second and that’s when I saw a freak wave engulf both of them. It came out of nowhere,” the mother cried.
Little Mahan was on the last leg of his school holidays when the disaster struck. He and his father were instantly killed after being thrown off from a major rock face while they were fishing.
The family had just recently arrived for their fun adventure but little did they know about how it would soon end in horror.
“We all just wanted to spend some quality time with one another as our son Mahan was about to restart school again”- the mother tried to explain.
The mother went on to add how the might wave also splashed her and that’s when she became worried and saw it throwing both her husband and son from the rock where they were fishing.
“They were both just a few steps away from me and now they’re gone forever”- she mentioned in an emotional tone.
Now, the mother is making sure to share her tragedy and highlight it in public so that others can learn a lesson about the great dangers at the beach.
