A 15-year-old girl has shared how her dad shot and killed her 18-year-old stalker who suddenly showed up at their home in an attempt to kill her.
TikTok user Ava Majuri was only 13 when she first joined the social media platform, and now she has over one million followers.
But last year, a stalker named Eric Rohan Justin tracked her down in Florida after buying her phone number from her pals.
According to reports, Justin showed up at her home with a gun and fired a shot through the door.
Speaking to The New York Times, Ava said: “All I remember was, I heard it, I felt it in my chest, and I looked up, and there was a hole in my door from the fragments.”
The teen and her brothers hid in their parents’ bedroom while her retired police officer father grabbed his weapon and shot Justin dead.
Her father was not charged as the killing was deemed legal under Florida’s Stand Your Ground laws.
Justin’s father told the paper that his son decided to stay in America instead of going to India with him after he and his wife divorced. He also said that he had no idea that the teen was stalking Ava.
“He was a nice kid. I’m at a loss for words. I don’t know what went bad with him. He made a bad choice,” he said.
It is not clear how Justin found Ava’s address.
Ava and her family have moved to be safe and the teen is now homeschooled.
Her father’s lawyer, James Scarmozzino, also filed a petition in Collier County Circuit Court seeking an injunction for protection against stalking.
