A single mother of four children is recalling the horrors of finding out how her own best friend began abusing her teenage daughter.
40-year-old Natasha Lewis says her best friend s*xually abused her 16-year-old daughter, despite the fact that she looked at him as her father figure.
Natasha was reportedly best friends with the suspect, who has been identified as 42-year-old Ricky Powis.
The duo’s friendship spanned at least 15 years and he was considered to be a loyal and integral part of their family. But little did the mother know about his evil attention and how he always had his eye on her teenage daughter.
Local media reports claim Powis started a brutal campaign against a child named Ellie Lewis when she was only 13 years old.
For almost one whole year, the accused preyed on the child during sleepovers, and whenever he got the opportunity, he assaulted her.
But in 2021, he was arrested and sent to prison for six years after being found guilty of the heinous crime at the Crown Court in Worcester. However, the incident left the mother and daughter duo scarred mentally for the rest of their life.
The heartbroken and beyond devastated victim says that she always looked at Powis as a father because she didn’t have her own dad in her life. But what he did is something that she can never forgive him for.
“What he did to me left me terrified and so ashamed of myself. He should have never been in that position and he had no right to do what he did”- she continued.
Natasha who works as a cleaner has said that this proven predator was once her closest pal but now she can never trust anyone again.
