One mother has gone on Reddit to confess how she abandoned her disabled children and her husband so she could start a new chapter in her life.

While many of us dream of moving to a different nation for better weather or a stable job, this woman went against all the odds and opted to leave her own family behind.

The woman reportedly left four of her children and her husband, while making her way to America to begin a new life.

While the woman failed to reveal details on where she was actually from, she did state how she was born in the year 1950 and went on marrying her husband at the tender age of 16.

But the surprises kept coming in as the mother of four spoke about how she just was not attracted to her husband as she was a lesbian.

“I used to have a neighbor, I’d like to refer to him as Dan. We were both friends, ever since I moved in. I knew instantly that he liked me but now I can recognize that whatever I felt for him was purely platonic,” she added.

When she was 15, she and Dan began dating and she felt like she liked him too and that’s why she went for it in the end. The woman also spoke about how the relationship was all good because he was an enjoyable personality to be around but she just was not in love with him.

Since parents from both sides pressured them to marry and have children, they did. The couple went on to have four kids but soon she realized that she hated her life and wanted to leave.

“I had no help and my children were severely disabled, that’s why I left,” she boldly mentioned.

With one diabetic son, a set of twins with autism, and only one normal daughter- the woman was fed up and just couldn’t cope with that mental pressure and that’s why she left.

Due to her refugee status, she managed to create a new identity in the country and now never looks back, despite leaving her whole family behind. She met another man there, married him, had a child, and then divorced him. But in the end, she managed to meet her wife, whom she tied the knot in 2017, and hence couldn’t be happier.
