A couple has reportedly sued an entire clinic because their demands for a gender-specific baby were not met.
According to local media reports, the couple is taking legal action against the clinic that delivered their newborn baby recently. They alleged how their wish was always to have a baby girl but what they got, in the end, was a baby boy and that was not something that they were willing to accept.
The lawsuit filed by the couple has taken the entire clinic by storm. Clearly, this was not something that the clinic had ever experienced and they were just not ready to accept it either.
“This fertility clinic promised that we would be having a baby girl. And in the end, there was a baby boy delivered. We don’t think that is fair. They made us have high hopes for nothing. We must take legal action so they can be taught a lesson to never conduct such behavior again”- the couple was seen elaborating during a recent interview.
The New York Post recently reported about Robin and Heather Routenberg and how their requests of having a baby girl weren’t met, despite them undergoing a series of fertility treatments.
The couple revealed how excited they had become when they were told that their chances of having a girl were the highest and that just elevated their moods and put them on cloud nine.
But the final result came in the shape of a boy whom the couple simply can’t get over.
Their response has come in the form of a lawsuit against that particular fertility clinic. Moreover, the mother revealed how she had literally broken down, post her son’s birth.
“I fell into the darkest depression imaginable after my pregnancy. When I started to seek treatments from this place in New York, they made promises that the embryo getting implanted in my womb was that of a girl. But the reality was far from that”- Heather mentioned.
The couple was informed during the 15th week of pregnancy that it was a boy indeed and by that time, there were no chances for them to terminate the pregnancy.
