Baby names are always a complicated affair and you never know who you might end up offending, one way or the other.
A young woman is putting forward her dilemma including how his estranged father is now naming his new baby after her. But she’s not exactly ok with the thought of just that.
While some people may take great pride in others following in their footsteps when it comes to their name, this young woman has other thoughts. And now, she’s being dubbed as an immature, rude, and jealous person by her own stepmother for hating her estranged dad.
He wants to name his newborn baby girl after her and she’s not loving the idea. Moreover, she’s calling it out as annoying and does not want him to proceed.
Taking her dilemma to an online forum, she explained how life can be difficult when you’ve got to deal with step-parents and those that are estranged.
What she thought was a moment of standing up for herself turned out to backfire big time. And now she wants to know where she went wrong.
She says that although her dad may have chosen to avoid contacting her for so long, she still loves him to bits and wants him to know that. Hence, when he did inform her about the news of naming his new child after her, she didn’t like the sound of it.
She felt so insecure and sensitive about the matter. Moreover, it was as if he had full plans to replace her.
Above all, the baby will be born around the same time as her own birthday. So that just makes matters worse for her. “I don’t want my name to be repeated twice. It belongs to me and no one else. Am I being unreasonable?”- she questioned. What do you think?
