A father has been banned from seeing his own children because of his likes to wear adult diapers.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the man’s ex-wife knew about the fetish even before they got separated.
She claimed that her ex, who she met in the 2000s, eventually started “wearing the diapers around the home.”
In 2019, the court heard that the dad came to pick his children up and had a diaper ‘partially exposed.’
That’s when his ex-wife decided to take legal action against him.
Last year, a court ruled that he was no longer allowed to see his kids. The man appealed and said he posed no risk to his children but his claim was denied in April 2022.
Justice Hilary Hannan at the Family Court said he hadn’t ‘satisfactorily addressed the issues of risk.’
“I have great reservations and ultimately do not accept that the father has an authentic willingness or capacity to disavow engaging in the behaviors in question and in his connections to the community,” Justice Hannan said, adding that it was inevitable that the children would be exposed to the man’s fetish, which she claimed would negatively affect them.point 432 | 1
The ex-wife’s legal team described the court’s decision as a ‘landmark’ ruling.
But the father said he was being discriminated against because of his links to the adult diaper lover community.
Writing to The Daily Telegraph, the dad said: “I feel for and have always respected other minority identities who have been persecuted or treated differently just for being who they are.
“What I choose to do in the privacy of my own home without any children present is my business. It is a harmless activity and affects no one.”
