But seeing his wife’s health decline was too much for Hubert to bear. He soon ‘broke down’ and was also admitted to the same facility.

“He fell apart, really,” Sam shared.

The 100-year-old couple shared a room at the care center, where they were both unconscious for five long days.

But on November 30, Hubert died in his sleep and the cause of death was a ‘broken heart,’ Sam said.

Only hours later, June also passed away.

“They went out together,” Sam said. “I feel sad, but I shouldn’t. Who can expect to live a life like that?

“We didn’t go through life without problems, but we would never do anything to hurt each other,” Hubert said.

“If there’s controversy, you might have to walk away for a couple minutes. Then you come back in and change the subject or you work it out.”

June also revealed: “We haven’t had one quarrel.”

“You never want to hurt the one you love. Put them first, above your own feelings. If you have difficulties, work them out. I would say don’t go to bed mad,” Hubert added.
