A 49-year-old grandmother has been arrested and sectioned by authorities under the Mental Health Act after she reportedly stabbed her own grandson to death.

The news comes as the innocent child’s parents paid a tragic and very heartfelt tribute to him, leaving tears in so many people’s eyes.

His parents referred to him as the most beautiful child in the world but now that he’s gone, they’re grieving in a manner that they could never possibly imagine.

According to local media outlets, the victim was identified as 5-year-old David-Mario Lazar who was known by his loved ones as little Mario. He was recently found with critical stab wound injuries in Coventry recently.

Authorities claim that despite the efforts put forward by the emergency services, he was soon tragically pronounced as dead at the crime scene, leaving his family members in absolute shock and despair.

Meanwhile, the postmortem of the young victim was soon carried out and that’s where his cause of death was confirmed to be stabbing wounds.

On the other hand, the child’s grandmother named Elena Anghel has been arrested on the cops’ suspicion of murder for this case as the young boy was under her care during that time. Since then, she has also been sectioned under the area’s Mental Health Act, it was revealed.

Friends close to the family spoke about how the 49-year-old suspect reportedly took care of the child on a regular basis after he came back from his school, as both of his parents were working.

But little did his parents that would soon have to face the tragedy of his death through the hands of a woman that they trusted the most.

In a recent picture released by the family, the young child can be seen up close and in a cuddling position with his grandmother who poses right in front of a Christmas tree.
