The mom and stepmother of a nine-year-old boy have been charged for beating him to death.
According to local media reports, the horrifying incident took place in Indiana where Elijah Thomas Ross from Forth Wayne died after being brutally hit with a wooden paddle.
The jury heard how the innocent child’s final words were ‘please stop’ where he requested his 30-year-old stepmother Alesha Lynn Miller to stop the violent act but she did not listen and continued to attack him violently.
These horrifying details were a part of the cause of death as stated in the affidavit that was released by authorities on Wednesday.
On the other hand, the victim’s mother, 36-year-old Jenna Mae Miller informed authorities how Alesha kept on ‘whooping the child’ despite him screaming, as revealed in the report.
The victim’s brother informed authorities how their stepmother, whom the kids referred to as ‘dad,’ became ‘very hard’ on the young boy, adding how she would often slam him to the ground and even strike him violently using a paddle.
One of the boys even informed the investigators of the case how he happened to be fighting with Elijah on the night that he passed away, adding how he texted his parents that the nine-year-old even pretended like he was about to vomit.
And that’s when the stepmother instructed to beat him up and force him to sit in a corner, till she returned, so she could have her turn at attacking him.
For this reason, Alesha has been charged with battery and neglect while the mother faced a number of charges relating to fatal neglect as she did not intervene or even offer her child medical attention.
At the start of the investigation, both mother and stepmom informed authorities that the child had been pushed into a bookcase by his brothers.
