Shocking reports are coming in from Arkansas today about an 8-year-old boy being shot dead by his own brother.
According to sources from local media outlets, it is believed the victim’s own brother pulled the trigger on the child by mistake. And right now, cops are taking part in an investigation to determine how exactly the incident unfolded, where the parents were at that time, and how the brother got hold of a weapon that ended up killing his own family member.
“It is not confirmed whether the children’s parents were at home during the time of the incident”- explained one officer who requested members of the community to wait for the investigations to be complete before they could arrive at any conclusions regarding the case.
Moreover, both teams of investigations as well as prosecutors are stated to be busy taking part in an investigation that would try to determine if there was any neglect involved or not. At the same time, it was still not clear if the victim’s brother would be charged or if any charges would even be filed against him.
It is speculated that four other kids were present at home during the time of the terrifying tragedy.
Some reports revealed how the boy’s mother was inside with his four other siblings when all of a sudden, loud sounds of gunshots filled the air.
Cops claim four bullets had been fired by the brother and that is what ultimately led to the child’s death in the end.
It is believed that the house was filled with several weapons that have recently been confiscated. The cops are trying to determine how secure those weapons really were in the end, which resulted in this tragedy.
Cops also added that it was just a tragic and senseless shooting that not many people saw coming. They also revealed how it could have been prevented, and that is why they’re calling the matter utterly tragic.
