An ex-con has reportedly been freed from jail, without any bail, after shocking reports were recently released from the state of New York.
The ex-convict made attempts to try and take the life of a cop from the Queens area, mentioned reports. But he was recently arrested this week for another similar crime where he randomly began attacking another officer from the New York Police Department.
But shocking reports revealed how he was freed without any bail, as confirmed by both the police and authorities on Monday.
With many referring to the suspect as an accused repeat cop-attacker named Isus Thompson, the 38-year-old could not have been forced to pay the bail, right before arrangements for his release began to be made.
Despite his recent alleged assault on another officer, he was still allowed to walk out free from custody, added local media outlets.
The fact that a judge cut him loose of his wrongdoing after the prosecutors from the Bronx district failed to seek any bail for him in the case. Moreover, this prompted a furious response from the commissioner hailing from the NYPD district Dermot Shea, which was unveiled via a tweet on Monday.
“Do we have to wait for Thompson to kill someone before this is taken seriously,” the disgusted top cop went about questioning.
Various media outlets such as The Post have gone about questioning the Bronx District Attorney’s Office regarding why the prosecutors’ side only supervised the release. And that relates to a condition where the suspect is only required to periodically check in with the court of law.
On Sunday, Thompson went about approaching a cop at the East 194th street that was located near Valentine Avenue in the Bronx district. The incident reportedly took place at about 1 am in the night, confirmed authorities.
