A family was torn apart in a matter of seconds after cocaine and steroid fuelled bodybuilder punched a father of two loving children to death.
According to local media reports, 31-year-old Robert Owen Greenhalgh who refers to himself as the meanest and toughest out there is said to have punched 36-year-old Robert Smethurst in the head.
The impact of the injury was so severe that it landed him in an immediate state of brain trauma, leaving loved ones in absolute shock and grief. But little did anyone know that he would soon pass away after that.
The victim is said to have angered the bodybuilder by stepping on his foot by mistake, before the entire fiasco erupted into a mega brawl, resulting in the most tragic outcome.
It was the father of two’s birthday too that day and he happened to be at the Luxe Lounge with his cousin named Aaron Bates in Bradshawgate. Robert had apologized for the accident and there appeared to be no further problems after that.
However, at about 1:30 am in the night, things took a turn for the worst. And that’s when the bodybuilder showed up to the dad’s table and punched him in the most brutal manner imaginable, knocking him out in an instant.
This was announced by the Crown Court yesterday, in regards to the case which is said to have taken place last year.
The father of two fell down to the ground immediately, suffering a major concussion on the spot. He claimed to have no memory of the attack after being dealt with by paramedics
And within one of the incidents, the victim passed away.
Moments after the brutal blow, the bodybuilder went around asking if anyone else was interested in ‘some’, an indirect violent threat to witnesses that happened to be in the surrounding.
Now, the Crown Court has found the victim guilty and sentenced him to prison for 11 years and three months.
