In Onda, Castellon, a terrible incident happened where an old man lost his life after a bull’s horn perforated his femoral artery.
According to a source, the 55-year-old man was standing still when the bull attacked him. The footage revealed that the man was standing in front of the bull when the enraged animal lifted him in the air on the end of its horns and, after a few seconds, dumped him on the ground, resulting in the death of that poor man.
After the incident, many people who witnessed this act of the bull, ran away and took shelter wherever they found a place.
Some people tried to calm the bull and did their best to stop him from attacking the injured man again and again. The identity of the killed person is not disclosed yet. Initial medical treatment was given to the person, and then he was sent to the hospital, where the doctors declared his death.
The man came to the festival from a nearby town of La Vall d’Uixo. He was wearing a white baseball cap, red top and black trousers when the bull gored him.
A source revealed that he had a large wound in his left thigh, and the horn of the bull had perforated his femoral artery, which was discovered when an ambulance took him to the Hospital de la Plana in nearby Villarreal.
During Fira de Onda, an annual festivity in Spain, these incidents happen many times.
The festival was canceled last year because of the pandemic. After the man’s death, Onda Town Hall suspended all the night events as a sign of respect and grief. It was disclosed that even before the pandemic, many people die every year when they come in front of an enraged bull and fail in handling him.
