Alec Baldwin has been photographed with his wife Hilaria and their children in New England, one week after he accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
The actor appeared to be devastated as he collected takeout food for himself and his family.
The 63-year-old has been cooperating with the investigation into the fatal shooting and has been in contact with the victim’s grieving family.
On Thursday, Santa Fe County Sheriff Adam Mendoza said that he hasn’t determined who brought live ammunition onto the Rust set.
“As far as we understand, live rounds should not be on set,” he told Good Morning America.
“The key questions we’re focusing on is how the live rounds ended up on set, who brought them on set and why they brought them on set. We haven’t… we’ve got some initial statements. There was close to 100 people total on set. Interviews are continuing.
“Everybody we’ve spoken to knows that live rounds should not be on set and why they were there is going to be the main question.”
Assistant director Dave Halls told investigators that he did not check all the barrels of the gun but “should have.” He admitted that he only checked three of the five chambers.
He said that Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, 24, handed him the weapon and usually opens it, ‘spins the drum’ to show the ammo and he then declares it safe.
But on Thursday, he said that he “couldn’t remember” if Gutierrez-Reed spun the weapon.
The search warrant says: “David advised when Hannah showed him the firearm before continuing rehearsal, he could only remember seeing three rounds.
“He advised he should have checked them all but didn’t and couldn’t recall if she spun the drum.”
Baldwin was given the gun and it fired in the direction of Joel Souza and Halyna Hutchins. Souza was hospitalized but Hutchins passed away.
Halls then brought the weapon back to Gutierrez-Reed and asked her to open it for him.
