A daycare worker in Florida has been charged for manhandling children after a horrifying incident was caught on a surveillance camera recently.
The shocking footage shows the daycare worker carrying out physical abuse of the most aggressive mind on a young 1-year-old child. Moreover, the disturbing and distressing content soon went viral, sparking outrage amongst so many members of the community who demanded her immediate arrest.
The woman was caught treating the child in a manner that many people say was beyond imaginable, especially when it came to young children.
51-year-old Yamirka Menendez was accused of not only grabbing but twisting the toddler’s arms and wrists. But that was just the start of the horror being carried out by the heartless woman.
She even went about swinging the child about three feet in the air without any care, and instead of catching, she allowed him to drop and slam towards the ground. The incident even resulted in the tragic fracture of the child’s leg.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department mentioned how the woman is now under police custody and will be treated charged accordingly.
While authorities claim that the woman didn’t have any criminal history record in the past, they were definitely appalled by the dangerous extremes that she went to in terms of manhandling the young one-year-old toddler.
In the same way, police in Florida claim that she was forcibly charged with grabbing the 4-month-old individual as well as slapping the young child a number of times. The incident reportedly took place at Tampa’s Time of Wonder Academy, reports went on to confirm.
Meanwhile, another member from the daycare academy was also recently charged for failing to report the abuse, despite the incident taking place in front of their eyes.
