As it is, learning to love your body after having a baby isn’t the easiest task in the world. Just ask this mum who was on the verge of suffering from post-partum depression and now doesn’t have a clue of what to do after her father-in-law’s rude comment.
According to the son, his dad crossed all limits by praising his daughter-in-law’s breasts, pinpointing their size. “I can now clearly see why my grandson is so well fed,” he added. To the new mum’s shock, she simply didn’t know how to react to his unwanted comments. Therefore, she immediately complained to her husband who simply couldn’t believe his own dad would do something of that sort.
Now, his wife refuses to speak to the dad and wants to cut all relations with him. Posting his story to an online community recently, the man asked internet viewers what they felt about the incident as a whole. He doesn’t want his wife to have such bad relations with his dad. Moreover, he just wants things to go from worst back to normal.
And just like that, the advice began pouring in. Some went on to mention how his wife was overreacting as the dad indirectly referred to the size in a light-hearted tone. But others clearly disagreed. They felt the boundaries were overstepped, by all means.
“My wife is very insecure about her body after having a baby. Hence, she is quite upset and has broken down into tears,” he added.
But what’s really shocking is how the dad apologized for the hurtful and offensive comments and his daughter accepted them, before the dad left. However, now, she still can’t seem to get the words out of her head.
