Very disturbing and tragic news is shaking everyone as a corn harvester runs over a 13-year old boy.
Jeffery Powell, the young teen, was in the fields in pursuit of hunting down when he fell asleep in Elkton, Michigan. Upon the early investigations, police find out that the boy was dropped in the fields before 9 am to hunt a deer. As to what the cops believe, he fell asleep in the fields and the corn harvester, a 25-year old young man, came to finish his work.
Since the harvester did not know there was a young boy sleeping in the fields, he started doing his work. He was driving a large Korne corn chopper when he drove over Powell. He only realized after a short while that he hit something.

Jeffery Powell was an avid fisher, hunter, and a great archer.
Since hunting was his hobby, so his family dropped him in the field to hunt a deer.The eighth-grader was so much into these things, he won the state championship in the school’s archery team.

Jeffery’s love for nature was famous in his school
Even Powell’s teachers knew about his zeal and zest for nature and animals. He used to talk about his personal experiences about the ecosystem, animals, and trees. Basically he talked about everything related to nature and he always gave the biggest grin while doing so.
According to the same teacher, when she retired from the school, Jeff gave her a heart-warming goodbye letter. She recalls him as a loving, caring, and whole-hearted person.
What does the county sheriff have to say about this tragedy?
As far as the police believe, it was solely an accident and the driver did not mean any intentional harm. When he drove over the little guy, he called the emergency workers around 9 am. The emergency team came, thoroughly inspected him declaring him dead at the scene.
It was a rural area in Huron County in the city of Caseville. However, the boy was from a nearby city Elkton. His autopsy is to come soon but his identity was revealed at the spot. Jeffery’s mourning family came and recognized him. They say he died what he loved doing, hunting.
The news went viral like fire in the woods on social media and the electronic media as well. People have started pouring in to share their sympathies and love with the grieving family. A discussion is also going on on the hunting as there were other incidents related to hunting in these days.
There were no arrest warrants or any kind of charges on the driver since it was an accident. There still is no such news so far but if there is, the police will let the media know.
