President Biden is being called out for making a number of false or misleading claims regarding COVID-19, auto prices, and a few other topics at CNN’s Town Hall.
The president participated in CNN’s second town hall during his presidency on Wednesday, where he reportedly took on a series of questions from renowned anchor Don Lemon as well as a number of local residents from Cincinnati.
Similar to his first Town Hall appearance in the month of February, the President is again being called out by a number of experts for making misleading claims. This in particular includes a long array of remarks on the highly controversial subject of COVID-19.
The President mentioned how all those citizens that had been vaccinated will definitely not be hospitalized, neither would they be entering the ICU units. In another shocking remark, he boldly added, ‘You’re not going to die!’
But that was just the beginning of the president’s bizarre stance on the highly debatable issue. Next, during another exchange of words, he said moments later how if vaccinated people do end up catching the virus, they are not going to get sick.
Soon, there was another third and confusing exchange of words where he mentioned how the vaccines manage to ‘cover’ the highly transmissible variant of the COVID-19 virus, which is being called the Delta Variant. Again the president stated, “you are not going to get the COVID-19 if you have received all of these vaccinations.”
Health experts were quick to call out the president of the United States for making a number of statements that were not true.point 226 |
While the current line of COVID-19 vaccines may be highly effective, reducing your chances of getting the virus, they certainly don’t provide any guarantee that individuals won’t get the virus or won’t be hospitalized or die.point 208 | 1
Also, the Delta Variant is another dangerous strain of the virus, against which the current vaccines may not be effective.point 217 |
Why the President was so confused and stammering throughout his remarks is still a mystery.point 77 | But whatever the case may be, many feel it was highly irresponsible to make such bold and inaccurate claims on a public platform.point 184 | 1
