The judge in charge of the Derek Chauvin murder trial claims Rep Maxine Waters’ comments could provide grounds for an appeal.
Local media outlets confirmed how the judge overlooking the case strongly believes that the comments made by Waters could possibly overturn the case, providing a ground for the appeal of a verdict in the murder trial.
Judge Peter Cahill mentioned to the case’s defense attorney Eric Nelson during Monday’s session, “I will give you that Congresswoman Waters may have actually provided an opportunity for an appeal that could possibly result in this whole case being overturned.”

At that time, Waters was giving interviews to media outlets while protesting at Minnesota’s Brooklyn Center as she wanted to protest against the cops’ killing of Daunte Wright while making claims to support his family too.
Waters added how she wished to see a guilty verdict and claimed that she looked forward to seeing if all the talk being discussed would actually bring about the fruit of BLM protesters’ hard work in the shape of victory. But in case that didn’t happen, she wanted people to rush to the streets and be more violent.
