The cause of death of Fetty Wap’s daughter Lauren Maxwell, 4, has been revealed.
According to the death certificate seen by TMZ, Lauren passed away on June 24 at their Georgia home from ‘fatal cardiac arrhythmia due to complications of congenital cardiac anomalies.’
Her mother Turquoise Miami and Fetty Wap, whose real name is Junior Maxwell II, confirmed the heartbreaking news last week.
The rapper paid tribute to his ‘mini me’, dedicating his set at Rolling Loud Festival to his daughter.
After his performance, he wrote on his Instagram story: “LoLo daddy did that s*** for you last night baby girl.”
He also said in an Instagram video: “Y’all can do me a favor? Just post all butterflies. All butterflies. [She] loved butterflies. If you guys could do that, that means a lot.”
Miami, whose real name is Lisa, confirmed the devastating news by sharing a video of Laurel swimming in a pool.
“This is my amazing, beautiful, funny, vibrant, loving, talented, smart and hardheaded princess mermaid Aquarius,” Miami wrote.
“If you see this post scrolling by with her comment or just say to yourself ‘i love you LAUREN’ because they say that souls can feel your love.”
Miami also asked people to be kinder to Fetty Wap after many questions were raised about his commitment as a father.
She said the rapper had “improved” as a parent and “became more financially and emotionally responsible for her.
“He didn’t post her the same way I didnt, because Lauren use to get a lot of disrespectful things said about her and I asked him not to. All that y’all need to know is Lauren loved her daddy and he loved her.
“She made him laugh with her crazy funny personality and she loved to be the center of attention and he loved to be her audience.”
Fetty, who has a total of six children by different mothers, is believed to be single. In 2019, he tied the knot with model Leandra K. Gonzales but they’ve gone separate ways in 2020.
