Social media users from Britain took to Twitter to share some of the most unusual habits of their fellow American counterparts.
From great confusions that exist over their pronunciation of words like herb as ‘erb’ to how they say soccer too- these two nations are clearly not on the same page for so many things.
In the same way, many UK social media users were quick to call out the Americans for not being able to handle their alcoholic drinks too.
For this reason, it’s no wonder why a recent post on Twitter by the British ignited a war of words that left so many people in absolute awe. But how did it all begin is a question on so many people’s minds.
Well, a recent post on Twitter popped up asking UK viewers to pin down some of the most harmless things that Americans do that the Brits simply can’t stand. “What annoys the sh*t out of you,” is how the question was posed. And believe us when we say that some of the answers were beyond hilarious yet considered true by so many.
Amongst the flood of replies, Britons confessed how the American culture comes filled with plenty of quirks that leave so many people baffled beyond belief.
One such example is how many Americans like to insist that they’re going to Europe for travel as if it’s a nation. Little do they know how Europe has so many nations and hence they could be traveling off to so many places indeed.
But if you think the Americans would just sit there quietly and not hit back, think again.
One user suggested how Europe is so tiny when compared to the United States and hence, the confusion is bound to exist. Another American added how it so common to visit several nations in Europe at once. Therefore, it’s easier to just take Europe’s name.
It wasn’t just the phrases that ruffled up so many American’s feathers. It also had to do with food being another common subject of disagreement. From the lack of tea-making facilities in their homes to how they pronounce oregano as ‘orEGGanno’ was termed offensive by many Brits too.
