The judge for the Kyle Rittenhouse case has reportedly dismissed the teen shooter’s misdemeanor gun charge.
According to local media outlets, closing arguments for both sides in the high-profile Kyle Rittenhouse case began on Monday. And that’s when Judge Bruce Schroeder reportedly dismissed count number 6 from the Rittenhouse rap sheet which stated the illegal possession of a firearm.
The defense had successfully gone about arguing how it was certainly illegal for any individual that was below the age of 18 to carry a short-barreled rifle. And that means a rifle whose barrel was less than 16 inches, but it added how it was legal to carry rifles that were longer in length in the state of Wisconsin.
Now, the state has reportedly been forced to concede how the AR-15 that was held by Rittenhouse on the 25th of August of last year was actually of a legal length.
On the other hand, Judge Schroeder has reportedly decided to permit the enhanced footage of the drone as evidence into the case, boldly adding how he would like to allow the jury to discuss and deliberate any important factors that were involved in this case.
However, the judge has also gone about issuing a warning relating to how the evidence gained could actually cause many to see the case as a ‘fall like a house of cards.’
On Sunday, so many buildings located around the vicinity in Kenosha were reportedly boarded up on a Sunday as many anticipated a number of possible riots as well as unrest that would take place as the countdown for the final verdict in the Rittenhouse case begins.
This news is being termed as the latest blow to the prosecution side as many did not see this charge being dropped on Monday morning.
