The final autopsy results of Brian Laundrie have been revealed, confirming his cause of death.
According to local media outlets, the fiance of Gabby Petito died from a single gunshot wound to his head.
That means the main suspect in Gabby Petito’s murder actually ended up killing himself, in a swamp in Florida, confirmed authorities.
The shocking results were recently revealed by the family’s lawyer named Steve Bertolino on Tuesday.
While some reports continued to speculate in the past how he may or may not have committed suicide, this might answer plenty of questions, putting a tragic end to the story of two lives.
Authorities claim that Brian’s body was not found until the 21st of October, while he was last seen on the 13th of September.
Meanwhile, Gabby’s body was found in a park in Wyoming on the 19th of September, with officials claiming how her autopsy revealed that she passed away several weeks back.
Laundrie’s remains were found in a Florida reserve, just one day after his parents joined cops in a massive search.
On September 1st, Brian went back home, right after he killed Gabby, and then opted to hide in a reserve in Florida. And that’s where authorities suspect he committed suicide by shooting his own self with a gun directed at his head.
At the moment, the family lawyer revealed how Laundrie’s parents have been informed about the incident and the real cause of death of their son, which was a gunshot wound. He even reiterated how Laundrie’s manner of death was in fact suicide.
Despite the final autopsy results being declared, it’s still unclear how and from where Brian Laundrie got the gun that he used to shoot himself. But some are also speculating how it could be among the items retrieved by the police.
